20 DAILY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Week One Day 1 – CLIP-A-BUG CARDS
Students look at the top section of the card and choose which picture box across the bottom and determine which bug it is. Clip or circle the correct bug on each card.
Week One Day 2 – NUMERICAL ORDER
Students will count from 1 to 100 during this fun counting activity. As they count to 100, they will write in each missing number.
Week One Day 3 – MAILBOX DISCOVERIES CUT-N-PASTE A TO Z
A fun way to work on beginning sounds and letter recognition. Cut out the alphabet picture cards and match them up to the correct mailbox.
Week One Day 4 – TWO-PIECE ALPHABET PUZZLES
Two-piece alphabet puzzles are the perfect activity when students need to work on letter recognition and study the alphabet. Use puzzles for review and independent study.
Week One Day 5 – MINI COLOR BOOKS
These colorful books are great for color recognition or review. Your child can cut and glue or staple to form into mini books.
Day 1 – FOLDABLE DRAWING BOOK FROM A TO Z
Students will fold and draw items on the pages that begin with the letter of each book. These foldable alphabet books can also be used as a cut-n-paste activity as students search through magazines for A-Z pictures and cut and glue them on pages.
Day 2 – 1 to 12 COUNTING CARDS
Students will count from 1 to 12 using these counting dot cards and number cards. Play matching or memory counting games.
Day 3 – 2D SHAPE BUGGY JARS CUT-N-PASTE
Students will look and find the correct 2 D buggy shape along the bottom. Cut and paste the correct answer on the jar.
Day 4 – WHAT DOESN’T BELONG – BEGINNING SOUNDS
A fun activity to help identify beginning sound pictures. Look at the pictures in each row. Circle or place an X over the picture that doesn’t begin with the same beginning sound as the first picture in each row.
Day 5 – TIME CAPSULE
Have fun as you fill out the time capsule sheets and gather items to be placed in your time capsule. Place it in a safe spot until your opening day. Have fun!!
Day 1 – BEGINNING BLENDS
A colorful set of blend cards where students identify words with the same initial sounds, focusing on blends and digraphs. Includes blend mats for matching sets and independent recording sheets.
Day 2 – UPPERCASE AND LOWERCASE ALPHABET PUZZLES
Students can match uppercase letters to lowercase letters when working on these fun puzzles. Cut apart, mix up the pieces and rebuild and match up letters.
Day 3 – FISHY TIC-TAC-TOE GAME
Students can play a fun game of tic-tac-toe with cute little fish.
Day 4 – X OUT WHAT DOESN’T BELONG
Community Helpers help us to find the items that DO NOT belong by placing an X over the wrong item.
Day 4 – NUMBERS 1 TO 20 CLIP-A-CARDS
A fun way to count to twenty. These clip cards display numbers with counting pieces and students will count and clip the correct number word on the right.
Day 1 – Rainbow Color Cloud
Colorful rainbow clouds in all the colors. Cut apart and rebuild these fun color puzzles.
Day 2 – REAL WORLD SHAPES
Students will identify and learn about real world shapes around us. Use these shape cards to reinforce shapes.
Day 3 -BUILD A CLOCK
Cut out the clock parts and build your own clock.
Day 4 -GOOD DEED BINGO GAME
Have fun playing BINGO and identifying the ways we volunteer and offer good deeds throughout our day.
Day 5 -LETTER MAT CUT-N-PASTE
Cut the letter pictures out along the bottom and glue them into the boxes above. Includes Letters A to Z Mats.
